We believe Ethereum has the potential to solve some of humanity’s most crucial coordination issues. Since our initial inception as a research group, we have sought to scale both its technology and values.
At present, the most pressing bottleneck to the growth of Ethereum is its performance and scalability. We are building the most elegant solution to this problem. We do this in the open (under an MIT open source license) because we believe in open source innovation and its ability to accelerate growth.
OP Labs is building Optimism mainnet, and by extension, the infrastructure that powers all OP-Stack chains. We are improving Ethereum’s performance by orders of magnitude and donating the profits from doing so to funding Ethereum public goods. By operating as a Public Benefit Corporation, OP Labs can align its incentives with the public good and take positive-sum steps toward a sustainable future for the internet.
We’re looking for an experienced product leader to drive growth and development of the Superchain. Today, the Superchain is the leading L2 ecosystem w/ over 10M MAUs. We need to grow the Superchain to trillions in assets and hundreds of millions of MAUs.
We think of the Superchain as a marketplace of users and developers and we expect it to be both the best user and developer experiences in crypto. This leader will have ownership of both. In particular, this role will own the developer products and growth programs needed to bring the next-generation of crypto apps to life.
We also expect the Superchain to be home to the biggest brands in Web3 - whether as L2s, L3s, or dApps. Accordingly, this leader will be hands-on with our largest partners to deeply understand and advocate for their needs.
What are the role responsibilities?
- Define the prioritization framework and product roadmap to grow the Superchain to >$1T assets and >100M MAUs
- Build and manage a team of PMs to grow the Superchain
- Be a partner to and advocate for our largest partners - deeply understand their needs and growth objectives
- Be a product and organizational leader in a fast-growing, value-oriented startup environment
- Work alongside a growing and senior team of leaders to scale Ethereum and bring the world onchain
What skills do you bring?
- 10+ years experience leading growth-oriented and/or marketplace products
- Proven track record of working in ambiguous and emerging product spaces
- Experience building high-impact developer products and growth programs
- Experience with open source software, crypto/ web3, or developer focused products is a huge plus!
