Base is planning to bring a million developers and a billion users onchain. We need your help to make that happen.

We believe that the onchain platform is the most important builder platform since the internet (“online”). We believe that the onchain platform should be open source, free to use, and globally available. And we believe that in order to make it really work, we need all hands on deck, working together to scale in a secure, decentralized manner.

At Base, we live by our Stay Based values: we do the right thing, work hard, stay optimistic, prioritize the team, and push creative boundaries—all while building the future of onchain. We value a Zone 3+ work ethic, where our team rises to the challenge, embraces hard weeks, and makes small to significant personal tradeoffs when necessary to drive impact and innovation.

We are looking for a strong Staff Product Designer to lead the Onchain Consumer product experience and help pave the way for billions of users to come onchain.

What you’ll be doing

  • Represent design thinking with a user-centric perspective in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design teammates to research and design effective solutions to grow the Base ecosystem to billions of users
  • Take new features from ideation to prototyping, user testing, and production
  • Establish and lead the design function for your product area
  • Blend qualitative and quantitative insights to create beautiful, usable, valuable product experiences for the Base community

What we look for in you

  • 7+ years experience designing exceptional product experiences
  • Contributions to at least one onchain app or experience
  • Proven track record of successfully leading design function across a product area
  • Ability to own end-to-end design process from initial concept to final implementation including user research, prototype testing, and quantitative methods
  • Ability to collaborate and partner strategically with UX Research, Product, and Engineering to drive and influence product decisions and strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
