Base is planning to bring a million developers and a billion users onchain. We need your help to make that happen.

Base’s mission is to build a global onchain economy that increases innovation, creativity, and economic freedom.

We believe that the onchain platform is the most important builder platform since the internet (“online”). We believe that the onchain platform should be open source, free to use, and globally available. And we believe that in order to make it really work, we need all hands on deck, working together to scale in a secure, decentralized, easy-to-use way.

Base is incubated within Coinbase and plans to progressively decentralize in the years ahead. We believe that decentralization is critical to creating an open, global cryptoeconomy that is accessible to everyone.

Base is built on Optimism’s open-source OP Stack. We are joining as the second Core Dev team working on the OP Stack to ensure it’s a public good available to everyone; and are contributing a portion of sequencer revenue to funding public goods.

Base is looking for a DeFi Ecosystem Analyst who will help us build the onchain future by growing Base’s footprint. You’ll work with the engineering, product, and marketing teams to realize Base’s mission of building a global onchain economy. If you are excited by our mission, please apply and get in touch.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Develop, execute and create initiatives that position Base as the preferred network for both developers and users.
  • Cultivate and nurture partnerships with builders, creators, infrastructure providers, and other relevant industry players.
  • Maintain productive relationships with partners, establishing shared KPIs and resolving business, policy and technical issues.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for expansion opportunities that have a direct impact on product roadmaps and business goals.
  • Work cross functionally with key stakeholders to optimize builder programs and experiences.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • 4+ years relevant experience in technology, financial services, fintech or investing.
  • An unrelenting passion for DeFi and a robust onchain resume.
  • A results-driven mindset with humility and self-awareness.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Track record of driving positive partner experiences while properly setting expectations and holding difficult conversations.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects across internal and external stakeholders through clear communication, strong analytical skills (qualitative and quantitative), and a constant focus on operational excellence.
  • Prior experience scaling a product, process, or idea to a developer community.
